Here's how it works: access points-located on towers or high ground-broadcast wireless internet signals to subscriber modules on your home or business (a sightline is necessary).

The customer must have a compact subscriber module (SM) affixed somewhere on the premises, with an Ethernet cable running from the subscriber module to the customer's computer or to a router for multiple computers.

If you do not have direct line of sight to the access point, or the signal strength is compromised due to the customer's distance from the access point, a 900 MHz subscriber module or reflector dish may be required to deliver Xplornet's wireless service.
